Portfolio Manager Job Description - National Accounts

The Portfolio Manager is a full-time exempt position working Monday – Friday that provides direct support to Operations and is the primary point of contact to customers and the main point of contact to Vendor Partners within their assigned portfolio of business. They work closely with National and local Clients, Vendor Partners and the All Clean Facilities Services, LLC (“ACS”) Business Development Team to assist in meeting client and Company objectives in both operations and sales. The Portfolio Manager is integral to the success of the company in the role of maintaining excellent client relations and managing/developing our Vendor Partners on a nationwide scale.

Portfolio Manager duties and responsibilities

  • Held responsible for managing and achieving the portfolio budget.
  • Develop and maintain positive vendor relations to ensure superior customer satisfaction.
  • Receive and handle customer calls and email requests for services within a timely manner.
  • Manage the scheduling and completion of all services assigned by customers or the ACS Operations Team.
  • Identify, research, and resolve customer issues using ACS’s technology and databases.
  • Resolve or escalate all disputes or unsatisfied service confirmations in a timely manner.
  • Maintain open communication with Vendors in a manner that adheres to all contracts and agreed upon Scope of Work throughout the duration of the relationship.
  • Provide market intelligence feedback to maximize customer satisfaction and to ensure strategies and policies are in place to attract and retain customers.
  • Provide information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.
  • Enter information into ACS’s database ensuring consistency and accuracy.
  • Educate clients and vendors on the benefits of our additional services and programs.
  • Resolve most/all client and vendor issues without escalation.
  • Provide creative solutions to meet client needs and maximize value.
  • Contribute to special projects and continuous improvement initiatives, as requested by the Chief Operating Officer or the client.
  • Work inside our technology platform and address all requests/moves/adds/changes.
  • Provide management with recommendations to changes in procedures, as needed.
  • Fostering a positive team environment.
  • Ensure confidentiality of internal and external data.
  • Perform assigned projects and other duties as assigned by the Chief Operating Officer.

Portfolio Manager skills and qualifications

The Portfolio Manager position requires a solid understanding of general business best practices, impeccable record-keeping, and attention to detail with well-balanced and dynamic social interaction skills. This role requires the following skills and qualifications to be effective on the job:

  • Strong background in business administration.
  • Account, marketing and/or sales experience.
  • Adept at both written and verbal communication.
  • Solution-oriented.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Great time management and prioritization skills.
  • Strong knowledge and comfortability with computers, Microsoft Office 365, and other processing software
  • The ability to negotiate with our Clients and Vendor Partners often in time sensitive situations.

Portfolio Manager salary expectations

As a Portfolio Manager at ACS, you can make a base salary of $50,000.00 per year. This position is also eligible for quarterly performance bonuses and commissions. Salary is dependent upon level of experience and education.

Portfolio Manager education and training requirements

A minimum of an associate or bachelor’s degree in business administration, is preferred. Relevant experience in either marketing or operations management will be considered acceptable as well.
